The Lost Book of Wauwatosa
September 15 @ 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm
Ed Wilkommen’s Rediscovered History
For decades, Wauwatosa’s most ambitious history existed only as a lost manuscript. Created by local historian Ed Wilkommen and packed with maps, notes, and years of research, it seemed to have vanished. This illustrated talk traces how his forgotten work was rediscovered, pieced together, and finally published as a new history of Wauwatosa.
Presented by WHS Volunteer Carol Rosen. Carol volunteers at the Wauwatosa Historical Society as a research and writing team member. She received a Ph.D. in Historical Geography from UW-Milwaukee and retired Professor Emerta from the Geography Department at UW-Whitewater. Carol and her husband, Dave, live in Wauwatosa. They have two grown children and five grandchildren. And… a 12-year-old rescue “pup” that keeps them busy!
Doors open at 5:30 p.m., program starts at 6:00 p.m.
