Tour of Homes 2026
October 17 @ 10:00 am – 4:00 pm
You’ve driven past them. Now come inside.
One of Wauwatosa’s favorite traditions returns October 17!
The Wauwatosa Historical Society’s 37th Annual Wandering Wauwatosa Tour of Homes opens the doors to five private historic homes, offering a rare chance to explore the architecture, interiors and stories behind some of Wauwatosa’s most interesting properties.
This year’s Tour is centered along the Milwaukee Avenue corridor and surrounding streets, with homes dating from 1860 to 1914. Along the way, you’ll discover how Wauwatosa grew from a rural community into a streetcar suburb, meet some of the people who called these houses home, and see how generations of owners have adapted historic houses for modern life.
Your ticket also includes admission to the historic Wauwatosa Woman’s Club and Pioneer Museum, our Tour headquarters for the day.
And this year, we’ve made it easier than ever to join us. Advance tickets are just $17, reduced from $35 in 2025. We intentionally lowered the price because we want more people to be able to experience these homes and the stories connected to them.
Whether you love old houses, local history, beautiful interiors and architecture, or you’re simply curious about what’s behind those front doors, this Tour is for you.
