Tour of Homes 2026: Milwaukee Avenue Through Time

Join the Wauwatosa Historical Society on Saturday, October 3, for a unique journey through one of Wauwatosa’s most historic corridors.

This year’s Tour of Homes explores Milwaukee Avenue and the surrounding streets, showcasing a thoughtfully curated collection of historic homes and significant buildings and landmarks that tell the story of our community’s growth. From early pioneer-era residences to beautifully preserved architectural treasures, each stop offers a glimpse into the people, craftsmanship, and history that helped shape Wauwatosa.

New this year, guests will enjoy a continuous trolley service connecting each tour location, making it easier than ever to experience the neighborhood at your own pace. We’ve also introduced a new lower ticket price—just $20 ($17 for Wauwatosa Historical Society members)—to make this beloved community tradition more accessible to everyone.

As always, knowledgeable volunteers will be stationed throughout the tour to share the history of each property and the families who called it home.

Specific tour locations will be announced as they are confirmed, but you can expect an engaging mix of historic homes, remarkable architecture, and stories that bring Wauwatosa’s past to life.
