Honey, I Shrunk Wauwatosa

Event Series (See All)

August 3, 2024 @ 11:00 am 4:00 pm

The “Honey, I Shrunk Wauwatosa” exhibit at the Kneeland-Walker House during the Firefly Art Fair offers a unique look at Wauwatosa in miniature form. It features a variety of dioramas, dollhouses, and replicas showcasing different aspects of the city. Visitors can explore a 3-D model of the Village from the 1930s, complete with intricate details like city streets and tiny trees. Other highlights include dioramas depicting a family property across three different periods, a detailed model of the 1906 Wauwatosa High School building, and miniature barber shop, and furniture store recreations. The exhibit also includes a metal dollhouse from the 1960s, wooden dollhouses from 1900-1933, and a six-foot dollhouse replica of a real house on Church Street from the 1990s. Various other miniature houses evoke nostalgia from different time periods, offering visitors a trip down memory lane.

The “Honey, I Shrunk Wauwatosa” exhibit is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both days of the Firefly Art Fair. Admission to the exhibit is free with paid entry to the Fair.
