Are you new to Wauwatosa? Have you lived here your entire life? Are you somewhere in between? Have you wondered about the names you have seen on street signs, parks, and buildings? You are invited to learn a bit of Wauwatosa history when you visit the historic Wauwatosa Cemetery and see the final resting places of those who founded and established the city. Included are the family grave sites of Clapp, Fisher, Hart, Harwood, Hoyt, Underwood, Warren, Wheeler, and others. The tour will be led by long-time Wauwatosa resident, Historical Society member, and newly elected Trustee of the Cemetery, Julie Peay. The tour will take about an hour. Please note: We will be walking through the cemetery which is hilly and uneven in spots. Please wear appropriate footwear. Also, there are no public restrooms or water available at the cemetery.
