The purpose of this project is to enhance the existing collections in our Research Library with audio reminiscences of Wauwatosa history.
Oral histories often contain information not available in other historical forms, and serve to enrich written history with human feelings and personal accounts. In creating oral histories, planned interviews are conducted to obtain and record information on individuals, families, important events, or day-to-day life.
Step 1. Complete a Pre-Interview Survey.
You do not need to answer every question. Complete the form to the extent you feel comfortable.
Step 2. Mail in your Pre-Interview Survey
Wauwatosa Historical Society
7406 Hillcrest Drive
Wauwatosa, WI 53213
Step 3. With your written permission, the interview will be recorded and a copy will be made available to you upon your request. The Wauwatosa Historical Society will retain a copy in our collections, for use by researchers and historians.
