Research Library  of the Wauwatosa Historical Society

PLEASE NOTE: As of February 22, 2010, the Research Library is temporarily closed to the public.  Please call or email if you have any questions. We apologize for this inconvenience.

In-Person Research is suggested to gain the most benefit from the collections. Trained volunteers staff the WHS Research Library. They will assist you in determining materials useful for your project and provide them to you. Some items may be copied; other items may be too fragile or may carry copying restrictions. Photographic reprints and photocopies may be ordered for most items.

Research by Mail: If you are unable to visit in person, your research request should be submitted in writing. This must be accompanied by a $5.00 research fee (waived for WHS Society members) and a stamped, self-addressed envelope for a written response. Research Library volunteers will handle letters on a first-come, first-served basis. Their work will be done using materials housed at the Kneeland-Walker House; no off-site work will be done.  General e-mail inquiries are welcome prior to mail requests.

LOCATION & HOURS

The Wauwatosa Historical Society Research Library is located on the second floor of the Kneeland-Walker House, 7406 Hillcrest Drive, Wauwatosa, WI 53213.
