Our educational programs and facilities are maintained by donations only. Please consider donating to one of the many committees dedicated to upholding our mission and serving the community.

Some examples of how we use monetary donations:

Judith A. Simonsen Research Library

- Cataloguing software
- Computer equipment for librarian use
- Acid-free and pH-balanced storage materials (boxes, photo sleeves, folders, etc)
- Shelves for large artifacts

Gardens

- Plants (around $1,200 each year for annual plants alone)
- Tools and equipment
- Tree care and maintenence
- Water, dirt, mulch, Milorganite

Kneeland-Walker House

- Interior restoration
- Exhibits
- Maintenence and repairs

Little Red Store

- Educational exhibits
- Painting, repairs, and supplies for the store
Memorials   Payment

To honor a loved one or pay tribute to a special person.

Monetary memorial donations received by the Society will become part of the Wauwatosa Historical Society long-term investments programs, unless designated for a specific purpose or project by the donor.

When a single donation of $1,000 or more is given, the honoree's name is permanently inscribed on a plaque displayed in the Kneeland-Walker House.

Please indiciate memorials with "In Memory Of ________"

Ongoing Projects

Maple Tree
The beloved Norway maple in front of the Kneeland-Walker House, likely planted 125 years ago when the house was built, was removed for safety reasons in the summer of 2015.
Please help us to offset the cost of cutting down the old tree and replacing it with a new Autumn Blaze maple.
