The Wauwatosa Historical Society (WHS) is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) educational organization committed to researching the history of Wauwatosa, and to collecting, preserving, and exhibiting objects and documents from its past.

The society was established in 1977 with 25 charter members and now lists over 800 members, registered as individuals, households, organizations, or businesses. The majority of members live in Wauwatosa, but a substantial number live in the greater Milwaukee area and even out-of-state, following their native city after relocation.

The mission of the Wauwatosa Historical Society is to preserve and disseminate materials related to the history of  Wauwatosa. It supports, encourages, and provides historical education and preservation for the community. It develops and maintains community support by serving as a role model for historical preservation at its headquarters, the Kneeland-Walker House and Victorian Gardens, located at 7406 Hillcrest Drive in Wauwatosa,  Wisconsin.

Please consider making a donation in any amount to support our education and preservation efforts on behalf of the Wauwatosa community. Thank you.
